An Acid ,it us define as a proton donor or a substance that will turn blue litmus paper red e.g HCl, H2SO4

A Base is define as a proton acceptors or its a substance that will turn red litmus paper blue e.g NH3,NaoH ,KOH,

An indicator .it is a substance that changes colour depending on the nature of the solution that  its  whether a base ,an acid  or neutral  solution

A neutral solution or substance has no effect on litmus paper or indicator since it is not an acid or base e.g H20

The PH -scale

It is use to measure the nature or the strength of an acid ,base  or neutral solution

An Acidic solution has a pH <7  e.g HCl

A basis or alkaline solution has a pH>7. E.g NH3

The   neutral solution that a pH=7 e.g H20

The pH scale ranges from 1-14  and with increasing in basic strength
